Science & Legality of Vaccines in Maine
Dr Gregory Fox, Cumberland resident and chiropractor, gave Maine Stands Up a very eye opening presentation concerning the scientific and legal aspects of vaccines in the state of Maine. He has shared this meticulous research with our community so that we are better able to negotiate our health and our children’s health with our various state institution— mainly schools and universities. Here you will find an incredible document that defines the basis of a religious and philosophical exemption. And you will also find the definition of herd immunity and partial herd immunity from the work of Dr Stanley Plotkin, a well known authority on vaccines and vaccine policy.
Mainers lost our right to religious and philosophical exemption for schools and colleges back in March 2020 when a citizen referendum to restore the exemption ( LD 798) was defeated in a Democratic primary— a venue that should never have been used for this purpose. The information the public was given about Maine’s vaccine rate for herd immunity was highly inaccurate. And misleading. The documents that Dr Fox has shared with us here prove that — clearly pointing out the difference between full herd immunity and partial herd immunity. Given that Maine has about 40 private schools that do not need to report vaccination rates, the case for the “gold standard” of a 95% fully vaxxed school population for herd immunity simply doesn’t hold up.
This issue will be introduced yet again in the legislature. In the meantime, we offer you these documents so that you will be better prepared to stand up for your right to determine what gets injected into your own or your child’s body.
